HISTORY:

About a year ago, in May of 2008,  Matthew and Daniel McWilliams started brainstorming on an idea for a new film.  In a freak coincidence, they both suggested a war story, almost at the same instant.

When they realized they had a great concept, they immediately approached their good friend and film maker, James Williams, about a combined effort. James liked the idea, and they started on the script.

Beginning the complex ordeal of compiling costumes, props, and other equipment. It was about that time when they realized that World War 2 era military apparel and equipment was rather expensive, and their budget was at the time was almost non existent.  However they somehow made due. As summer arrived other obligations and work forced the film to the back burner and slowed the production to a halt.

In December of 2008, the group met Matthew Bryan, a local theater actor. Daniel was impressed with his acting ability, and they approached him and his sister Sarah with a role in the film. They both accepted. Gavin Broussard also agreed to participate as a supporting character as well as an assistant camera operator and extra. With the main cast finally squared away, they set out to perfect the script.

After a couple months of working on location scouting for the film, props, script and putting together a rough shooting schedule... on February 12th, 2009 they began filming their first official shoot. Since then, conflicting school schedules and work constantly got in the way of maintaining a steady pace for the film.

However they finally finished filming in early August of 2009.  The film is now in the post production stage.

We the cast and crew of Vollstandig are looking at releasing the films for viewing in film festivals nationwide sometime in late fall of 2009. We will then be looking at possibly showing the film in theaters for a premier event in either Oregon or California, where friends, family and fans will have the opportunity to see it on the big screen.

We thank everyone for their wonderful support and we look forward to seeing you at the theaters. May God bless and be with you.
